OnBuy is an online marketplace that connects sellers with customers. We don’t sell or dispatch any products ourselves. When you shop with us, you’re buying directly from one of the many trusted retailers who sell on our platform.
Almost all purchases are covered by a 30-day return policy as standard. There are a few exceptions for items such as personal products. A few examples are listed below. A full list can be found here.
- Products made to the Customer’s specification, clearly personalised, custom-made, or
commissioned in any way. - Perishable Products include (but are not limited to) food, drink and fresh flowers.
- Audio or video recordings, computer software, DVDs or CDs which have a security seal which the
Customer (or persons the Customer may have given the Product to) have opened or unsealed - Any digitally downloadable Products such as but not limited to audio or video recordings,
computer software as the Customer agrees that the immediate performance of the contract
shall result in losing the right of cancellation once the download or streaming of the
digital content has begun. - Newspapers, periodicals, or magazines.
You have 30 days to return any non-faulty items. If the return falls outside this period, it’s up to the seller to accept or decline it.
Return postage for non-faulty items is your responsibility. We strongly recommend using a tracked or insured delivery service.
For Faulty Items:
- Within 30 days of delivery: You’re entitled to a full refund.
- Between 31 days and 6 months of delivery: The seller has one opportunity to repair or replace the faulty item. If the repair or replacement fails, you’re entitled to a full refund.
- After 6 months of delivery: The seller still has one opportunity to repair or replace the item if it’s confirmed to have a manufacturing fault. If this isn’t successful, you may return the item for a refund. However, the seller may make fair deductions for use during that time.
Important notes:
Items must be returned to the seller for inspection before any refunds, repairs, or replacements can be issued.
If a fault or issue is confirmed, your return postage costs will be reimbursed, just be sure to keep a copy of your postage receipt.
