You can close your account by visiting ‘My Account’, and selecting ‘Account settings’.
You can choose from ‘Communication preferences’ to amend e-mail settings, or if you wish to close your account, select ‘Close account’ from the menu on the left-hand side. If you’ve recently placed an order, you’ll need to wait 30 days before you can close the account.
If you would us to complete a full data deletion under GDPR (which will include all communications we’ve received from you), that’s fine, we’re happy to action this for you.
This means that once the request is completed, you won’t hear from us at all, we’ll retain no record of these communications, and you will no longer have an active OnBuy account.
In this instance, we’ll need you to provide your:
- · Full name
- · Address and postcode
- · Any other e-mail addresses that you may have used to set up an OnBuy account other than the one you've used to e-mail us to request your data is deleted.
We need this to ensure we locate and delete the correct data.
Once we’ve received your reply, we’ll action the account closure or data deletion request within 30 days and will send you one further e-mail confirming it’s been completed.
Please make sure you supply all the information detailed above so that your request can be completed.
